Owners of the Willow Tree Plaza Shopping Center in Cookeville announced two new tenants Thursday.
Workout Anytime and Return To Play Elite have signed a lease to occupy vacant space at the shopping center.
Fimiani Development Corporation President Mike Fimiani said he expects to announce even more new tenants in the near future.
“Depending on the size of the tenants and how we consolidate the spaces, we will have anywhere between four and seven new tenants that we put in,” Fimiani said. “We’ve just now sent out mailers to many retailers around a 10 mile radius in Cookeville. We’ve got great incentives for people to come in and either relocate a business, open up a second location, or start a brand new business.”
Workout Anytime plans to open a brand new 10,000 square foot facility. Return To Play Elite, a sports rehabilitation and athletic performance facility, will be taking a 4,000 square foot space.
“We are going to be starting construction on them within the next 30 or 60 days and both of those tenants will be open prior to the end of the year,” Fimiani said.
The announcement of the new tenants comes during the final phase of renovations to the shopping center. Crews recently finished striping and sealing the parking lot and new LED lighting will be added across the parking lot int he next couple of days.
Fimiani said million of dollars have been invested in the project to improve the shopping center on South Willow Avenue.
“Cookeville is a great market with the school and hospital in town,” Fimiani said. “We are thrilled to be in town and hope to bring back Willow Tree Plaza.”
Fimiani said the shopping center should be at full capacity by the start of 2019.
