Reagon Hopes To Retain Title Of Sheriff, New Sheriff To Be Elected In White County

A total of five candidates will be seeking the position of Fentress County Sheriff during Thursday’s county general election.

Current Sheriff Michael Reagon will be trying to keep his position. Reagon appointed as sheriff by the county commission a little more than a year ago after the arrest of Chucky Cravens.

Other candidates seeking the position of Fentress County Sheriff Thursday include Dave Beaty, Anthony Choate, Tom Rosecrants and Chris Winningham.

Meantime, A new sheriff will be elected in White County as Steve Page and Scott O’Dell look to take over Sheriff Oddie Shoupe’s seat. Shoupe chose to not run for re-election.
