Fairfield Glade Preps for Judge and Jury Art Show

The Fairfield Glade Art Guild is set to host the ninth annual Judge and Jury Fine Arts Show on August 3.

Event Chairman Claudia Kirkpatrick said she’s excited to see the artwork entered into this year’s contest.

“My favorite part is actually the excitement of seeing who the awards are going to,” Kirkpatrick said. “It’s always an exciting time.”

This year’s judge for the art show is Carol Grant Stevens, co-owner of Artists’ Eyes Photography Studio in Slinger, Wisconsin. Kirkpatrick said it’s always interesting to see who the judge selects as the winner each year.

“I always look at what their background is and what kind of work they do,” Kirkpatrick said. “You never know what they’re going to pick. It’s always a toss up. [You] just don’t know what’s going to happen.”

Kirkpatrick said the Art Guild is still accepting entries of all mediums through this Friday, July 27. The event begins with an awards reception August 3 and the gallery will run until August 29. The grand prize winner will receive $500 with prizes being sponsored by First National Bank Tennessee.
