Two Airlifted Following Crash On Interstate 40

Medical helicopters airlifted two people to hospitals following a crash on Interstate 40 eastbound in Putnam County Friday.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the crash happened near mile marker 284.

Lieutenant Jimmy Neal said the right lane is currently blocked and more information will be released at a later time.
