Monterey Police To Get New Duty Weapons

The Monterey police Department will get a few new duty weapons in the near future.

Mayor Bill Wiggins said confiscated weapons will help with the purchase.

“They are short two duty weapons and need a few more long guns,” Mayor Bill Wiggins said. ”

Monterey Police Chief Bill Randolph said there will be no cost to the city. He said there’s an even trade for the weapons they need and the ones they need to get rid of.

The Monterey Board of Mayor and Aldermen have given approval for the trade to take place.
