Flooding caused some issues at several emergency buildings in Jackson County Wednesday.
Emergency Management Agency Director Keith Bean said the rescue squad building took on about a foot of water, while the ambulance service and 911 center had water right up to the door at one point.
“We moved everything out of the rescue squad building that we could,” Bean said. “Rescue units have got probably eight or ten people out of houses or cars after they got stranded.”
The Save-A-Lot in Gainesboro also flooded with about four to five inches of water in the building.
Bean said no injuries have occurred.
