Country music fans swarmed to Dale Hollow Lake and Sunset Marina Tuesday night as Luke Bryan stopped by to shoot footage for an upcoming music video.
Vice President and General Manager Tom Allen said Bryan and his crew were en route to their next tour stop in Raleigh when the marina received notice of Bryan coming to the area.
“Sunset Marina’s crew tried to roll out the red carpet and welcome Luke Bryan and his team here to Dale Hollow Lake,” Allen said. “They had a very short visit, they had quite a bit of video work done yesterday when Luke was here. It was just a very honorable and humbling happening for us at Sunset Marina on Dale Hollow Lake and a good event for Byrdstown, Tennessee.”
Allen said word quickly spread on social media about Bryan being at Dale Hollow Lake.
“The crowd started building at the afternoon hour yesterday,” Allen said. “It got so large, we kind of had to block the entrance to the marina off for a short period of time for Luke to be able to finish filming, be able to have dinner with his family, and be able to get back on the road to his next performance.”
Allen said it’s uncertain if any of the footage captured at Dale Hollow will be used in the final edit, but added any footage used would positively impact the marina.
“We don’t know what the end result will be,” Allen said. “We’re very hopeful it’ll be positive, but that’s up to Luke Bryan and his team.”
Allen said he was not able to comment on what song the music video would be used for.
