Gainesboro’s Bull and Thistle Pub has closed after five and a half years of business.
The restaurant has not provided a reason for the sudden closure. Calls the the pub went unanswered on Monday.
A post on the restaurant’s Facebook page stated Saturday was the last night of business.
“To everyone who has posted these kind comments, we can’t thank you enough. Your sweet words and encouragement are balm to our souls,” owner Diana Mandli said. “Many have mentioned our wonderful staff members. Indeed, we were so blessed to have the finest people working with us. It truly was a family, and so many of our dear customers were part of that family and always will be. We thank you all so much.”
The restaurant is offering to refund gift cards purchased within the last 12 months with an unused balance.
