A Crossville man faces charges for allegedly killing his aunt Sunday.
Authorities accuse 37-year-old Stacey Dwight Austin of killing 55-year-old Teresa Faye Austin at her home on Neverfail Road in Sparta.
According to a TBI press release, deputies found Teresa Austin’s body in the front yard of her home Sunday afternoon. During the course of the investigation, authorities developed information leading to Stacey Austin as the person responsible for the crime.
Authorities arrested the Crossville man this morning, charging him with one count of voluntary manslaughter and one count of attempted tampering with evidence.
Austin is being held at the Cumberland County Jail on $1 million bond.
