Monterey’s Technology Committee has recommended hiring a company to develop an official town website.
Town officials said Columbia-based Local Government Corporation has offered to do a basic web package and maintenance on the site.
Nathan Walker is chairman of the Technology Committee.
“Looking forward on doing things that we talked about wanting to do, as far as offering online payments, those are all modules that can be added in later,” Walker said.
The contract will cost nearly $4,000 and the board of mayor and aldermen will consider the contract when they meet next month.
