Mr. James Edward Brown passed from this life on Thursday morning, May 24, 2018 in the comfort of his home, surrounded with his loved ones. James Edward leaves his loving wife, Mrs. Martha Padgett Brown of Hilham, TN; daughters, Tonya Emerton & husband Jeff of Hilham, and Wendy Ringley & Fiance Loren Reed of Hilham; grandsons, Jamie Emerton and James Lee Ringley & wife Kally; granddaughter, Alexis Ringley; great granddaughter, Raylyn Neal; brother Johnny Brown of Hilham; and sister, Georgia Hensley of Cookeville. Funeral Services for Mr. James Edward Brown, age 70, of Hilham are incomplete. In Lieu of Flowers, monetary donations are appreciated.
Eddie Edenfield, age 66, of Baxter, passed away Thursday morning May 24, 2018 at 7:34 a.m. at his home. Arrangements are incomplete.
Funeral Services for Ruby Jane Wilder will be held Thursday, May 24, 2018 from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home at 7:00 PM. Private Graveside Services will be held Friday, May 25, 2018 at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Ruby passed from this life on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville. Ruby was born Sunday, November 16, 1930 in Sneedville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Ellis and Betty Johnson. Ruby was a loving wife, mom, and mawmaw. She was a hairdresser for fifteen years. Ruby was a member of State Line Baptist Church in Kingsport for 30 plus years and when she moved to Cookeville she attended Stevens Street Baptist Church. She was a Sunday school teacher for 40 plus years. Ruby loved her personal walk with God. Ruby is survived by: Daughter: Judy and Richard Dyer; Son: Jerry and Kimberly Wilder; Grandchild: Denice and Patrick Rinks; Great-Grandchild: Alex Rinks. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by: Husband, Willard Wilder. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home. The celebration of life services for Lonnie Dale Spivey, 64 of Gainesboro, will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Brother Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. After the burial service, there will be a dinner at the Fairview Community Center for family and friends. Lonnie passed away surrounded with love by his family on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born April 30, 1954 in Gainesboro. Lonnie was an incredible husband, father, and friend to many. He worked for Highways Inc. for 34 years. He believed firmly that you worked hard for what you wanted. In his spare time, he enjoyed taking care of his horses, playing guitar, collecting guns and knives, and spending time with his family. Lonnie leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend, Martha Spivey; Sons Jason Spivey and wife April, Anthony Spivey, Brandon Spivey and fiancée Erica, Steven Spivey, and Jason Frasier and fiancée Alex; Daughters Paige Buck and husband Bobby and Macy Smit and husband Derrick; mother Ruth Carmack; sister Betty Sue McKee and husband James; brother-in-law Roland Heady; Grandchildren Alyssa, AJ, Lilly, Levi, Marley, Allibeth, Colton, Averie, Tyler, Cameron, Carter, and Eva; Great-grandchild Liam. Lonnie was preceded in death by his father Winton Spivey, brother Harold Spivey, and sister Joann Heady and numerous aunts and uncles. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 4 to 8 P.M. and Friday, May 25, 2018 from 10 A.M. until 1 P.M.
Graveside services for Mrs. Doris Worley Gamble, age 94 of Sparta, will be held, 10:00 am Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the Bethlehem Cemetery with Bro. Dwight Fuqua officiating the service. Doris passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Erlanger Health Systems in Chattanooga. She was born November 5, 1923 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late William Logan and Rowena Harrison Worley. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Dave Gamble. Doris worked at the White County Hospital as a Inpatient Insurance Clerk for 16 years, was the office manager for American Red Cross for 10 years, also worked at Walgreens in Sparta, and enjoyed teaching line dancing. She loved being in plays at the Cookeville Drama Center. She appeared in “The Miracle Worker”, “Guys and Dolls”, and “The Man Who Came to Dinner”. She is survived by her nephews: Rick LeBleu, Greg LeBleu & wife Lori, David Worley & wife Joan, Jerry Worley & wife Kathie, and Logan Worley ; Niece: Joann Breismeister; along with other relatives and friends.
Graveside funeral services and interment for Mrs. Betty Ann Howell, age 87, of Cookeville, will be 11 a.m. Saturday May 26 at the Cookeville City Cemetery. Mrs. Howell passed away Wednesday evening May 23 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the cemetery.
