No Tax Increase Expected For Baxter Residents

Baxter residents won’t be seeing a tax increase for the upcoming fiscal year.

Alderman Dustin Stanton said the board of mayor and aldermen met Tuesday night and approved first reading of the new fiscal year budget. Under the proposed budget, the town’s tax rate will remain the same at $1.39.

Second reading of the budget and tax rate will take place next month.
