Search Continues For Missing Couple

The Monterey Police Department has asked the public for help in locating two missing persons.

Kristie Wilson and her boyfriend Henry Wilson last seen on the evening of May 10th.

“We are going to exhaust every resource available to hopefully bring these folks home to their families,” Lieutenant Michael Phillips said. “Just keep these families in your prayers.”

Phillips said cell phones belonging to the couple recently pinged to a location near the Overton and Fentress Country line. Specifically, the heavily wooded areas of Highway 85 over to Allred, Crawford and into the Wilder area.

“That does not specifically mean that these folks are out in that area,” Phillips said. “It just gives us a knowledge of where their cell phones were used at that time.”

Additional attempts to ping the cell phones were unsuccessful, meaning the phones have probably lost battery power, Phillips said.

Phillips said there is no evidence showing that the couple would have reason to flee for their safety.

“The trail has basically just stopped. We are concerned for their well-being just because we are working on 13 days without anyone having contact with them,” Phillips said, “We are concerned about them being out and possibly injured without the basic amenities.”

Phillips said Kristie Wilson’s sister first reported the couple missing to the Cookeville Police Department on Wednesday May 9th. Both Kristie and Henry lived in an apartment together off of Spring Street in Cookeville.

The Monterey Police Department took the case over when Cookeville police determined the couple had been spotted at Tom’s Market in Monterey.

The couple last seen driving a charcoal gray Nissan Sentra with TN tag # 310DVD. That vehicle has rear bumper damage and very bad tires.

Phillips said there is an immense call volume with information about the couple. He’s asking folks to report any information about the couple’s whereabouts to local law enforcement.

The family has offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to the whereabouts of Kristie Wilson and Henry Wilson.

Family members say Kristie Wilson has a tattoo on her leg of a waterfall and dreamcatcher mix. She frequently wears brown square-shaped glasses and is wearing a brace on her right leg.

Henry Wilson is balding and usually wears a ball cap. He has blue eyes.
