Joe Parrott, Age 71, Of Monterey Passed Away On Thursday, May 17, 2018, At Vanderbilt University Medical Center In Nashville, Tennessee. Funeral Arrangements Are Incomplete.

Viewing for Shirley Teresa Rodgers (née Tamburri), 82, of Cookeville will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 8:45 am to 10:45 am at Earle Funeral Home, 122 W. Church St., Blackwood, NJ with Mass to be held at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Hope Parish/St. Agnes Church, 701 Little Gloucester Rd., Blackwood, NJ with burial to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. After several months of declining health, Shirley passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, May 13th in her daughter’s home in Cookeville. She is reunited with her mother, Stella, husband, Robert, eldest son, Michael, and her daughters Kathleen and Denise. Shirley was born January 11, 1936 in Camden, NJ and raised there by her mother and grandmother. As a young woman she met and married Robert Rodgers. They moved to Cherry Hill, NJ where they built their own home and raised seven children together. Shirley had an adventurous spirit, and in her later years, she enjoyed traveling the country in her RV, selling jewelry at flea markets, and spending time at her vacation home in Florida. She loved to dance, eat good food, and tend her flowers. She loved chocolate ice cream, her grandbabies (and great-grandbabies) and being at the sea. When a stroke left her partially paralyzed, she moved to Cookeville, TN to live out the rest of her life close to her daughters, though she always retained a fondness for her New Jersey home and loved ones. Shirley leaves behind her remaining four children and their spouses; Robert and Edyta Rodgers, Michelle and Chuck McFalls, Jacquelyn and Sam Brown, Jeffery and Sherri Rodgers; and the spouses of her predeceased children, Jim Vance, Neal Quinn and Debbie Rodgers; along with her many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her faithful cat, Alfie.

Funeral Services For Anthony Howard, Age 50, Of Monterey, Tennessee, Will Be Conducted On Saturday, May 19, 2018, At 10:00 AM At Hope In Christ Fellowship, 315 East Peter Avenue, Monterey, Tennessee. Rev. Johnny Bowman And Pastor Steve Looper Will Officiate With Interment To Follow In The Welch Memorial Cemetery With Full Military Honors Provided By The Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Howard Was Born On November 20, 1967, In Monterey, Tennessee, To Thelma Jean Ford Howard Of Monterey, Tennessee, And The Late Argle Ray “Buddy” Howard. Mr. Howard Passed Away On Wednesday, May 16, 2018, At His Home. Mr. Howard Was A Supply Chain Planner With BASF In Sparta, Tennessee. He Attended Hope In Christ Fellowship, Was An Avid Hunter And Fisherman, And Loved Spending Time With His Family And Friends. He Was A United States Army Veteran. In Addition To His Mother, He Is Survived By His Wife, Sherry Lynn Flowers Howard Of Monterey, TN; 2 Daughters, Katie Howard Of Cookeville, TN, Callie Howard Of Cookeville, TN; Stepdaughter, Courtney (Elijah) Whittaker Of Monterey, TN; Stepson, Jonathan (Brittany) Medley Of Algood, TN; 2 Grandchildren, Lorelai And Lakelynn; Sister, Angela (Luke) Collins Of Celina, TN; And Brother, Michael Scott (Kim) Howard Of Gainesboro, TN. The Family Will Receive Friends At Hope In Christ Fellowship On Friday, May 18, 2018, From 5:00 PM Until 8:00 PM And On Saturday, May 19, 2018, From 9:00 AM Until Time Of Services At 10:00 AM.

Funeral services for Mr. Clifford C. Holman, age 101, of Livingston will be conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018 from the Walnut Grove Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. Mr. Holman passed from this life on Thursday evening, May 17, 2018 from the NHC Healthcare in Cookeville. Clifford was born in Overton County on April 27, 1917 to the late Herman M. & Laura Peterman Holman. He was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of Christ. He enjoyed going to Church at Walnut Grove where he was an Elder for over 30 years. Clifford enjoyed gardening & woodworking. Known as Mr. Walnut Grove and the Bubblegum Man. Clifford loved his family most of all. Clifford leaves his daughters, Linda Smith & husband Danny of Livingston & Jill Possman of Sarasota, FL; son, Kenneth Holman & wife Johnnie of Hermitage; grandchildren, Cindy Monsue, Matt Smith, Chad Holman, Lesley Riddle & Heather Jaco; 6 great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, James McAlpin & Owen Savage. In addition to his parents, Clifford was preceded in death by his loving wife, Magdalene Savage Holman; son, John Denton Holman; sisters, Alva Lee Farmer, Lorene Langford & Geneva “Trix” McAlpin & brother, John Riley Holman. The family will welcome friends on Friday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services all at the Walnut Grove Church of Christ.

Memorial Service for Halina Ann Wiklinski Lawson, 82 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018 beginning at 2:00pm at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Cookeville. Halina was born to two Polish immigrants; Stanley Wiklinski and Henrietta Borkowski Wiklinski in Cleveland, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Edward Wiklinski; her sister Dee Gosiorowski. She is survived by her brother Stanley (Stash) Wiklinski and wife Barbara Wiklinski, son Bryan W. Lawson and wife Sandy Lawson, daughter Pamela Tisher and husband R. Douglas Tisher, daughter Jamie Upchurch and husband Randy Upchurch, grandchildren: Stefania Lawson Gustafson and husband Paul Gustafson, Adam Lawson and wife Keri Lawson, Emily Lawson, Steven Dunbar and fiancé Emily Hamblen, Catherine Upchurch and Caroline Upchurch, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends and a bruised and battered, bumper to bumper Nissan. Halina is also survived by two very dear friends: Irene May of Chagrin Falls, Ohio: a friend for over 70 years and Maureen Schultz, Cookeville; a friend for more than 30 years. Visitation will be 12:00 – 1:45pm at Crest Lawn Funeral Home before the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

A celebration of life for Wiley Anthony Tindle, 70 of Sparta, will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 2pm until 4pm at Doyle Methodist Church. The family has chosen cremation. Wiley passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018, at Saint Thomas Highlands Hospital. Born Tuesday, September 30, 1947 in Sparta, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Wiley and Mary Smith Tindle. He is survived by his children, Anthony Tindle of Baxter; Angela Tindle of Baxter; David Kirby of Quebeck; Kimberly Smiley of Cookeville; Clifton Lee Tindle of Quebeck; Sammy Tindle of Sparta; Joel Tindle of Quebeck; Evelyn Tindle of Quebeck; Douglas Tindle of Quebeck; Michael Tindle of Quebeck; Kayla Tindle of Quebeck; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Angel of Knoxville; Linda Herren of Knoxville; Alice Vinson of Sparta; Kathy Van Winkle of Crossville; and special friends, Mike and Betty. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, R.T. Tindle.

A Celebration of Life Service for Joan Hendrix Tansil, 73 of Cookeville, will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 19 at the First United Methodist Church of Cookeville with Dr. Martin Thielen officiating. The service of Christian Committal will be conducted by the Reverend Jane Taylor on Sunday, May 20 at 1:00 p.m.(E.S.T.) in the Hendrix Family Cemetery, 2426 Elizabethton Highway, Johnson City, TN 37601. Joan passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at UT Hospital, Knoxville. Joan is survived by her two children, Tice Hendrix Tansil and Parish Ivey Tansil (Knoxville). She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Novice Hendrix Gross and Stephen Gross (Johnson City), a nephew, Taylor Stephen Gross and wife Amy (Washington, DC), and a niece, Mollie Gross Warren and husband Cooper (Chapel Hill, NC). She adored her great nephews and nieces, Taylor S. Gross, Jr., Hendrix Nelson Gross, Lillian Elaine Gross and Clare Elaine Warren. Additionally, she is survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gerald and Faye Tansil Freeman (Cape Girardeau, MO), nephew, Mike Freeman (Cape Girardeau) and niece Mona Freeman Church (Kingsport). Joan also leaves behind a multitude of close friends and family who provided amazing support through prayers, visits, and overwhelming acts of kindness as she traveled this very difficult final journey. The family will remain forever grateful. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. (C.S.T.). Funeral services for Mr. Charles Darty, age 79, of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, May 19th at 3:00 p.m. at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. He passed away Wednesday May 9, 2018 at NHC of Cookeville. Mr. Darty’s family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Graveside services for James Millis Watts age 89, of Cookeville, will be held on Sunday at 1:00pm at Cookeville City Cemetery. Pastor Bob Pharris will officiate and Family will serve as Pallbearers. Burial to follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville on Sunday from 11:00am until 12:30pm. James Millis Watts was born on April 10, 1929 in Putnam County to the late Carl and Myrtle Scarlet Watts. He passed away on May 16, 2018 at NHC Healthcare in Cookeville. He was a member of the Eastwood Baptist Church and retired as a Custodian at TTU.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mable Conner Thrasher McDonald, age 93 of Livingston, will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 2 PM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Saint John Cemetery in the Willow Grove community of Clay Co. Mrs. McDonald passed from this life at the Overton Co. Health and Rehab on Thursday evening, May 17, 2018. Mrs. Mable Conner Thrasher McDonald was born in Byrdstown on August 11, 1924 to the late Tate and Cora Lee (Heard) Conner. Mable was a member of the Livingston Church of Christ and she loved to paint, sew, cook and play cards. She was a loving wife mother and friend and will be missed by all who loved and knew her. Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Patsy Hix and her husband Charlie of Whitleyville and Brenda Coffee and her husband Joe of Livingston: 2 Grandchildren: Randy Hix and his wife Michelle of Whitleyville, Kim Moore of Livingston; 7 Great Grandchildren: Matthew Hix and Olivia Hix of Whitleyville, Ethan Barlow, Evan Barlow, Ellex Barlow of Livingston, Jayce Hix and Jayden Hix of Whitleyville; 1 Great Great Granddaughter: Maggie Grace Hix; A special Niece Sarah Conner and a special Nephew Junior Conner. In addition to her parents, she is preceeded in death by: First Husband Lester Thrasher; Second Husband Cloyd McDonald; 2 Daughters: Peggy Thrsher and Shelia Mofield; 1 Grandson: Jeffery Coffee; 2 Brothers: Lawrence Conner, Elmo Conner; 3 Sisters: Inis Loretta Conner, Eudene Smith, Sylvia Taylor. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening, May 19, 2018 starting at 4 PM to 8 PM then on Sunday, May 20th starting at 12 noon until service time. Family has requested that memorial contribution can be made to the Saint John Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mr. Billy James Williams, 76 of the Hardy’s Chapel Community in Overton Co., will be held Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 5 PM with burial to follow in the Williams-Nelson Cemetery located in the Hardys Chapel Community of Overton Co. Mr. Williams passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Billy James Williams was born in Cookeville on September 20, 1941 to the late James Clure and Hattie (Bean) Williams. Survivors include: 1 Niece: Sue Williams; 2 Great Nieces: Lisa Fuqua, Hattie Sue Fuqua; 1 Great Nephew: Gordon Fuqua; A special friend: Donald Bilbrey. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening, May 19th starting at 5 PM until 8 PM.

Funeral services for Cultus Campbell, age 89 of Sparta, will be held at 11:00am, Monday, May 21, 2018 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with James Dukes officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Cultus passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at his residence. He was born August 18, 1928 to the late Willard and Sadie Barnett Campbell. His hobbies included raising a big garden every year and dancing. He was also an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Nola Jean Adkins Campbell of Sparta; son, Keith Alan Campbell (Debbra) of Spencer; daughters, Kelly Jean Campbell of Sparta and Mona Gouveia (Manny) of Spencer; grandson, Caleb Anthony Campbell; granddaughter, Samantha Oxford (Brad) of Pikeville; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Gouveia of Washington State, Vincent Gouveia of Pikeville, and Vashti Stockman of Pikeville; sisters, Ailene Bates St. Cloud, Florida, Wilena Campbell of Allen, Kentucky, and Pauline Maciorowski of Fairborn, Ohio; many friends and neighbors also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Stuart, Curtis, Burnis, and Everett. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4-7pm at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Mr. William “Bill” Hampden Barnett, 70 of Cookeville will be held Tuesday May 22 at 12 noon in the Chael of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Algood Heritage Cemetery. Bill’s family will receive friends Tuesday from 11a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
