Rabbi Paul Todd of Yeshua’s Sabbath Church in Sparta said “it’s about time” the United States’ Israeli Embassy was moved to Jerusalem.
The Embassy returned to Jerusalem on May 14 for the first time in 70 years.
“It was supposed to have been done by many presidents prior to President [Donald] Trump,” said Todd, “and everybody promised but no one delivered.”
Todd said President Trump’s decision to move the Embassy is something that has been needed for a while.
“I don’t think it’ll have any drawbacks, but it did set the world on fire,” said Todd, adding the decision is “prophetic.”
Pastor Dr. Larry Pratt of Yeshua’s said the decision to move the Embassy to Jerusalem is a historic event.
“It’s going to have an impact on every person in the world,” said Pratt.
The decision comes 70 years to the day in which President Harry Truman recognized Israel as an independent country. The move comes five months after President Trump’s announcement intending to move the Embassy.
