A student from Minnesota will be heading back to Sparta to face charges related to the March stabbing death of his father.
During a Tuesday morning hearing, a Blue Earth County judge gave extradition orders for 21-year-old Joshua Jordi. White County will travel to Minnesota within the next few days to place Jordi in Custody.
Jordi faces first-degree murder charges in the death of his father Timothy Jordi. Jordi allegedly stabbed his father to death inside Timothy Jordi’s Sparta home.
After allegedly killing his father, Joshua Jordi returned to Mankato, Minnestoa where he is a student at Minnesota State University.
A TBI investigation in connection with the White County Sheriff’s Department tied Joshua Jordi to his father’s death.
Minnesota law enforcement arrested Jordi and he’s been held since at the Blue Earth County Jail.
