The United States District Court has ordered former White County business owner Jeff Gentry to report to the Bureau of Prisons within the next 45 days.
A judge sentenced Gentry to serve three years in prison Monday for charges of wire fraud and money laundering. Gentry pleaded guilty last year to his role in a ponzi-type-scheme.
Authorities said the former owner of Gentry Brothers Tractor Supply and Gentry Auto convinced more than 50-individuals to invest funds totaling $43 million. Gentry caused a financial loss to investors of more than $10 million.
It will be up to the Bureau of Prisons as to which facility Gentry will be assigned to.
