Saturday Power Outage Blamed On TVA Issue

A Saturday afternoon power outage left approximately 15,000 Cookeville Electric customers without power for nearly an hour.

Cookeville Electric officials said an equipment failure locked out one of TVA’s transmission lines causing an outage to four of the five substations and at least one of Upper Cumberland Electric’s substations.
