Funeral services for Maxine Ann Boyd, age 77, of Cookeville will be held Wednesday, May 9th, 2018 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Rev. Andrew Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM and Wednesday, May 9, 2018, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Presley Funeral Home. Maxine Ann Boyd passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Signature Healthcare of Putnam County in Cookeville. Maxine Ann Boyd was born Saturday, August 31, 1940 in Watertown, Wisconsin to the late Robert Schilling and Norma Voss Schilling. Maxine worked for several years as a Key Punch Operator at Hein-Werner Corporation in Waukesha, Wisconsin. She moved to Baxter, Tennessee to raise her son in 1978. She went to work at JR Nash Moving and Storage, where she finally retired. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Richard E. Posekany and Grady Boyd. She is survived by: son, Kenneth Posekany of Cookeville; special friend, Bud Waller of Cookeville; brother, Arden Schilling, Janesville, Wisconsin; cousins, David Cartwright of Waukesha, Wisconsin, John Cartwright of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Jeff Cartwright of West Allis, Wisconsin, and Sawyer Cartwright of Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Funeral services for Mrs. Elise Ramsey Cantrell age 79, of Livingston will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2018, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Falling Springs Cemetery. Elise passed from this life on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 7, 1938, in Overton County to the late Radford Ramsey and Mary Walker. She enjoyed tending her garden, taking road trips, and spending time with her family. Elise leaves her sons, Charles Cantrell of Livingston; Ray Cantrell, Jr. of Livingston; Christopher Cantrell and wife Rachael of Livingston; daughter, Glenda Chase and husband Steve of Melbourne, FL; grandsons Jason Chase and wife Currie, Jeremy Chase and wife Sarah, Jeffrey Chase and wife Patricia, and Brandon Chase; great grandchildren Kaylie Chase, Steven Chase, Hunter Chase, Parker Chase, Carter Chase, Logan Chase, and Leah Chase; great great granddaughter, Ryleigh Elise Bowen; Sisters, Stella Young, Alice Cole, Marie Greenwood, Diane Ramsey, and Rillie Hill; brothers, Ray Ramsey and J. C. Ramsey. In addition to her parents, Elise was preceded in death by her husband Ray William Cantrell, Sr.; daughter, Mary Kay Cantrell; brothers, B. Bro. Doug Surber & Phill Norris will officiate. Gladys Madewell, age 98, of Miami Township, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Laurelwood Senior Living. She was born November 20, 1919 in Livingston, Tennessee daughter of the late Tilden and Serena Gore. Gladys was a 1939 graduate of Livingston Academy in TN. She worked as a bookkeeper for AAA Automotive Club almost 10 years before retiring in 1981. Additionally she had the opportunity to serve in the same capacity at the Pentagon for the Department of the Marine Corps during WWII. Gladys proudly served as a volunteer for Kettering Hospital for 22 years, receiving multiple recognitions for her dedication. She was also a member of the Belmont Chapter of the Eastern Star. Gladys was also an active member of the Miami Shores Baptist Church, Moraine for 55 years. She was a devoted Sunday School teacher and volunteered for numerous other church programs. Her Lord was her passion and will always be remembered for her faith.

Funeral services for Mr. Billie Ray Dickerson, age 77 of Sparta, will be conducted 1:00pm Thursday from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Saylors Cemetery. Ray passed away Monday morning, May 7, 2018 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Ray was born June 2, 1940 in Sparta to the late Henry Thomas Dickerson, Sr., and Alma Shelton Dickerson. He had a career that spanned from auto sales to road construction. Ray was better known as a “trader”. He enjoyed trading on anything he thought he could get or make a good deal on from typewriters to automobiles. He also enjoyed raising cattle and dirt track racing. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by brothers Henry Thomas “Boonie” Dickerson, Jr. and Billie Gene Dickerson. Celebration of Life for Della “Jean” Smith, 67 of Cookeville, will be held, Friday, May 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Paran Church in Cookeville. Jean passed from this life Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at her home in Cookeville. Jean was born Wednesday, August 9, 1950 and she was the daughter of the late Carl E. Sr.and the Dorothy (Johnson) Stults. Jean enjoyed spending time with family and working for the Lord. She worked at Lucky B Manufacturing for many years. Jean loved animals and especially her German Shepherd, Duck. Jean is survived by: 2 Daughters: Dawn Huckeby, Jennifer and Terry Mansell; 1 Son: Jamie McGinnis; 2 Grandsons: Daniel James Harville, Elijah Glenn McGinnis; Great-Granddaughter: Kallie Jaden Lynn Harville. Richard passed away Monday evening, May 7, 2018 at his residence. He was born October 19, 1949 in White County to the late James Elmer and Lena Mae Graham Denton. He was also preceded in death by his sister: Dorothy Marie Adcock. Richard was a devoted Truck Driver.
