Crash Cushion Truck Struck On I-40 Wednesday Morning

A Cookeville woman suffered injuries when her vehicle struck an attenuator crash cushion truck on interstate 40 in Putnam County Wednesday morning.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 33-year-old Heather Copley suffered injuries when her 2005 Kia Sorrento struck the truck at westbound mile marker 288.

Officials said the attenuator truck was following a TDOT herbicide truck conducting routine operations. The attenuator truck’s arrow board was warning vehicles to move into the right lane.

The THP report said Copley transported herself for treatment.
