Armed with a handgun, a masked man robbed Cookeville’s Buck Mountain Market and physically assaulted a store clerk Saturday night.
Cookeville Police have not located the suspect described as a white male with a heavy build.
A police report said the man entered the store around 9:40 p.m. and demanded money. Before leaving the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect used the handgun to strike one of the two clerks in the head.
Police officials said the victim received treatment at Cookeville Regional Medical for a laceration to the head.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
