Officials at Edgar Evins State Park have a vision of constructing a mountain bike trail in the future.
Park Manager Kenny Gragg said he’s hoping for a trail that will be used by all skill levels.
“We are hoping for a little bit off all that. The first section of the trail we hope will lead out to an overlook,” Gragg said. “People will then have an option to turn back before getting into the more difficult stages of the trail.”
The project is still in it’s infancy stages, with crews currently working to flag the trail.
“It’s just one more opportunity and another user group that we can attract out here to the park hopefully,” he said.
