Bid Awarded For Jets Football Stadium Upgrades

Cumberland County Board of Education members awarded a bid Wednesday for upgrades to the Cumberland County High School football stadium.

The low bid awarded to Athens Tennessee-based Wilson Construction Group for $435,000.

The biggest challenge in the project will be water, as the drainage flows off Miller Avenue through the middle of the football field.

Along with fixing the drainage issues, upgrades will include a new track, restroom facilities, and concessions.

The project likely to get underway later this spring.
