A Friday afternoon crash along Willow Avenue sent three people to the hospital including one life-flighted to Nashville.
The crash happened just after 1:30pm Friday as 18-year old Joshua Clemons traveled northbound on South Willow Avenue near the Post Office. Clemons’ 2001 Hyundai Elantra veered into the center turn lane, striking a 2014 Ford Escape driven by 71-year-old Carlion Vaughn.
Vaughn, along with passenger Troy Vaughn, age 75 of Cookeville, were waiting to turn left into the post office.
The crash then involved a third vehicle driven by 41-year-old Michele Silvey of Cookeville.
Clemons flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center for injuries sustained in the crash. The Vaughns were taken to Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Cookeville Police continue to investigate the crash.
