25-Year-Old Crossville Woman Faces DUI Charge

A Crossville woman faces her second DUI charge in the last several months after passing out while driving Saturday morning.

Crossville Police responded to Old Jamestown Highway early Saturday morning where a black Mercedes had stopped in the middle of the road. Police found 25-year-old Whitney Ann Kerley of Crossville slumped over behind the wheel. Kerley could not open the doors or windows and struggled to put the car in park as police ordered.

Worried that Kerley might hit the gas and drive in the middle of oncoming traffic, officers used a baton to bust the passenger window. Police found Kerley had been driving on a revoked license. She failed multiple sobriety checks.

Kerley faces multiple charges including DUI.
