Firefighters responded to Tennessee Tech’s New South Hall Friday afternoon after a dryer caught on fire.
The incident happened just after 2:00pm Friday when a lint trap became full and caught fire. No one injured, according to Tennessee Tech Director of Communications Buddy Pearson.
Pearson said minimal damage reported to New South Hall. Cookeville Firefighters and campus police responded to the fire.
New South Hall operates as a co-ed residence hall serving 358 residents, according to the TTU website.
