Goat and sheep farmers across the Upper Cumberland gathering in Sparta Friday.
“It’s teaching sheep and goat farmers and getting them accreditation for ag enhancement funds if they attend the classes,” Clay County Extension Agent Jason Shultz said.
The Upper Cumberland Agricultural Extension agents across the region will join together to offer training on a variety of topics.
“Everything from predator control, genetics, reproduction, marketing, health, what makes the best quality grading for going into meat,” Schultz said.
The meeting takes place Friday and Saturday at the White County Agricultural Complex. Schultz said some 150 farmers will be attending the sessions.
