Crossville Man Faces Aggravated Assault Charge

A Crossville man faces an aggravated assault charge following a domestic assault incident involving his girlfriend and the couple’s child Tuesday evening.

Police arrested 25-year-old Brandon Lee Barnes of Iris Circle, Crossville after responding to a call that Barnes grabbed the neck of Rhiannon Marie Keeton. Keeton said the two began arguing as Barnes held the couple’s child. At one point, Keeton reached for the baby. Barnes allegedly grabbed his girlfriend by the neck and pushed her onto a dresser. Police observed a visible red mark on the woman’s neck.

Barnes said he pushed Keeton away after she scratched the child’s face while reaching “in an aggressive manner” for the baby.

Police transported Barnes to the Cumberland County Justice Center.
