A failure to yield on Crossville’s West Avenue Tuesday evening turned into a drug arrest.
43-year-old Linda Kay Gerren of Crossville faces drug charges after Crossville Police found .40 grams of methamphetamine in her pocket.
Police stopped a 1999 Ford Ranger for failure to yield. When Crossville Police asked Gerren, the passenger in the vehicle, for her identification, she gave a fake name and birthdate but could not remember her social security number. The officer reminded Gerren she could face charges for impersonating another person.
Police arrested Gerren on an active warrant and began to search her. The officer found two cut straws and the methamphetamine. Police seized drug paraphernalia and transported Gerren to the Cumberland County Justice center.
