State Senator Paul Bailey and State Representative Ryan Williams named Monday to the The Governor’s School Safety Working Group.
The 16-member committee will review procedures and policies related to school safety statewide. Governor Bill Haslam said he hopes to have recommendations from the group by the end of the legislative session.
The speakers in each house recommended the four legislators to serve on the committee. It also includes four educators including a teacher from Clinton.
Haslam announced the committee last week in response to the Parkland, Florida shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School.
