If you’ve been wanting to sample that new restaurant or go back to a favorite spot, you have good reason to do it this week.
It’s the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation’s Annual Restaurant Week, now through Saturday. Nearly 20 local restaurants will offer specials and discounts while offering a portion of the proceeds to assist in the Foundation’s Pediatric Fund.
John Bell, director of the charitable foundation at CMC said, “This is now our fourth year for the event. its grown a little bit every year, we are up to 16 local restaurants that participate. Some are offering special menus and some are donating a percentage of sales.”
The Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation seeks to provide assistance to families who cannot pay for medical care. The Pediatric Fund assists families with children with high-cost medical conditions or families that cannot cover the cost of basic needs. The fund also works to help babies born into addiction.
“Well Cookeville restaurant week is an amazing event that helps the CMC charitable foundation.” Jay Albright owner of Seven senses, Blue Rooster Canteen and the Putnam Room said, “We are always proud to be a part of that. The restaurant week is meant to be a win-win to help them but also to help local restaurants to get their name out there a bit.”
