Crossville Woman Faces Domestic Assault Charges

A Crossville woman faces domestic assault charges after she tried to wake up his husband by slapping him across the face.

21-year-old Chelsea Austin entered her husband’s bedroom and tried to wake him Friday morning around 5:30am. Austin tried to shake her husband’s foot then proceeded to smack his face “a little bit,” according to police reports.

Austin told police her husband then pushed her with his foot and the couple began fighting. They continued until Crossville Police arrived. Police questioned the husband, 22-year-old John Austin, who confirmed his wife’s account.

Police booked Chelsea Austin on a domestic assault charge.
