Bailey Sponsors Bill To Put “In God We Trust” Inside Schools

Senator Paul Bailey has sponsored a bill that would require each local education agency to display “In God We Trust” in a prominent location in each school.

During his weekly legislative update Bailey said the phrase is more than just a national motto.

“It’s our country’s foundation, an important part of our identity as Americans and as Tennesseans,” Bailey said.

The bill has gained approval from the Senate Education Committee and has been placed on the March 5th Senate Consent Calendar.
