Cumberland County Commissioners received some unfortunate news this week in regards to sales taxes.
Early numbers from December 2017 show the county bringing in $821,000 in sales tax receipts against a projected $927,000. That’s over $100,000 below budget.
Year-to-date the county is down $175,000 to budget, but 4th District Commissioners Allen Foster said the county will be checking to see if there was an issue with the reported number.
