Michael William Iwanyszyn, Age 64, Of Crossville, Passed Away On Saturday, February 10, 2018, At His Home. Mr. Iwanyszyn Was Born On June 28, 1953, In Reading, Pennsylvania, To The Late Wasyl And Gloria Kocan Iwanyszyn. Mr. Iwanyszyn Was A Machinist. He Is Survived By His Companion, Mary Biggs Of Crossville; Daughter, Danielle Iwanyszyn Of Reading, PA; 3 Grandchildren, Olivia (Jonathan) Remerswaal, Alicia Iwanyszyn, And Daniel Iwanyszyn; 6 Brothers, John And Pam Iwanyszyn Of Mohrsville, PA, David And Jane Iwanyszyn Of Monterey, Steve And JoAnn Iwanyszyn Of Mohrsville, PA, Bob Iwanyszyn Of Monterey, Joe And Joan Iwanyszyn Of Cookeville, Tim And Sarah Iwanyszyn Of Cookeville. In Addition To His Parents, He Was Preceded In Death By His Son, Michael Iwanyszyn; And Sister, Ilona Kerr. His Wishes Of Cremation With Services At A Later Date Are Being Honored.
Funeral services for Johnnie Ruth Luna, 90 of Sparta, will be held at 1pm on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery. She passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted member of Johnson Freewill Baptist Church. She was born July 2, 1927 in Sparta to James Tobert Minnear and Johnnie B Stockton Minnear. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tolbert and Johnnie Minnear; sister, Betty Minnear; brothers, Rubert Minnear, Carl Minnear, James Albert “Red” Minnear, James “Zuke” Minnear, and nephew, Ronnie Minnear. Survivors include her children, Danny Luna and wife, Mary; Jerry Luna and wife, Debbie; Linda Luna Herman and husband Eddie; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Family will recieve friends from 4pm until 8pm on Wednesday evening, and 10am until the time of service on Thursday.
Funeral services for Ms. Hellen Turner, age 86 of Sparta, will be conducted 1:00pm Thursday, February 22, 2018 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Copeland’s Chapel Cemetery. Ms. Turner passed away Monday morning, February 19, 2018 at NHC of Sparta. Ms. Turner was born April 7, 1931 in Dekalb County to the late Herbert H. and Rebbie Hutchings Turner. In addition to helping on the farm, Hellen ran a small daycare business in the home she shared with her parents. She enjoyed looking after the kids, always cooking them homemade meals while in her care. In addition to her parents, Hellen is also preceded in death by her sister Margaret Scott. Her surviving family includes Sisters: Dean Sparkman & husband Edward of Sparta, Marie Savage of Doyle, Wallene Hutcherson of Mt. Juliet; 4 Nephews, 2 Nieces, 2 Great Nephews, 1 Great Niece; Special Friend: Brenda Bumbalough. The family will receive friends from 5-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Freddie Copeland and Tracy Curtis will officiate the service.
Funeral services for Betty Louise Rittenberry Conley, 82 of Sparta, will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, February 23, 2018 at the West Sparta Church of Christ with burial in the Old Blue Springs Cemetery. She was born February 13, 1936 and passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2018 at NHC of Sparta. She was born to the late Paul and Mattie Williams Rittenberry. She was a retired factory worker from Red Kap Industries. She was a long-time and active member of the West Sparta Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Milburn Conley; two daughters, Jeanetta Conley Eldridge and Peggy Conley Troglen; two granddaughters, Peggy Johnson and Devonna Gribble. She is survived by her Daughter: Judy Null of Sparta; Granddaughters: Donna Johnson, Jessica Young and husband Chris, Elizabeth Johnson, Kerri West and husband Morgan all of Sparta; Adopted Great Grandsons: Shayne and Jordan Johnson; Great Grandchildren: Reanna and Jarrett Young; Bobby, Brandon and wife Alexis, Justin, and Jason Farris; Lela Johnson; Karsyn and Rylee West; Special Nephew: James Rose; Several Great Great Grandchildren, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews; and Her Very, Very Special Church Family at West Sparta Church of Christ. The family will receive friends from 4-8pm Thursday at the Church. Funeral services for Mrs. Jane Ellon Mullican Gilbert, age 78 of Sparta, will be conducted 1:00pm Friday, February 23, 2018 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial Plainview Cemetery in the Cassville Community. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-8:00pm at Hunter Funeral Home. Elmore Judd will officiate. Mrs. Gilbert passed away Tuesday morning February 20, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Gilbert was born July 16, 1939 in McMinnville, Tennessee to the late Henry C. & Bertie Mae Sanders Mullican. She was a retired shirt factory worker but more importantly to her she was a homemaker and raised her family in a good christian home. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a brother James Mullican; sisters Novella Bounds, Dorothy Powell, Frances Bell and an infant brother.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 12, 1959 to Barnie “Moe” & Joyce Ledbetter Wakefield. He was a 1977 graduate from Livingston Academy, and a Residential Construction Worker. He enjoyed fishing and spending time on the computer. He loved people, music, and being in nature. Dale is survived by his parents, Barnie “Moe” & Joyce Wakefiled of Livingston; sister, Sandy Wakefield of Ann Arbor, MI; uncles, J.B. Ledbetter & wife Denise of Livingston & Carl Ledbetter & wife Janice of Livingston. The family will welcome friends on Thursday evening from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

She was born on December 1, 1929 in Overton County to the late Ezra & Rosie Hammock Denton. She worked as an auto part manufacturer. She enjoyed quilting and yard selling. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, & great great-grandchildren. Mrs. Edith Crabtree is survived by son, David Crabtree & wife Donna of the Hardy’s Chapel Community; Daughters Wanda Greer & husband Danny of Rickman, Maxine Hynes of Livingston, Kathy White of Livingston, & Cindy McDermott & husband Bobby of Monroe; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; & 8 great great-grandchildren.
