Water Main Break Occurs In Cookeville Sunday

A 12-inch cast-iron water main line broke on Cookeville’s Willow Avenue near the post office Sunday afternoon.

The incident forced to northbound lanes to close until about 9:30 last night as Cookeville Water Quality Control workers repaired the damage.

Northbound lanes closed for a short period of time today as crews worked to repair the roadway.
