South Carolina Shooting Suspect Arrested In Putnam County

Putnam County authorities have arrested a man wanted for the murder of a South Carolina teenager earlier this month.

Sheriff’s Office officials said 20-year-old Desmon Williams was located and arrested on Friday without incident.

Georgetown South Carolina authorities have accused Williams of fatally shooting a 19-year-old man at a park on January 21st. He’s awaiting extradition back to South Carolina, where authorities said he faces charges of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

There’s no word as to why Williams was in the Middle Tennessee area.
