Search crews have recovered the body of a Putnam County man who went missing on Center Hill Lake yesterday.
The body of 66-year-old Scott Northrup was found this afternoon in 34-feet of water, according to officials with the TWRA. His body was located about 100-yards from where his fishing boat was found Wednesday night.
Officials said Northrup was reported missing around 5:30 Wednesday after he failed to return home from a fishing trip.
Northrup was a retired professor at Tennessee Tech and faculty advisor to the Tennessee Tech bass fishing team.
