Putnam BOE Approves Energy Savings Contract

The Putnam County Board of Education hopes to save the school system some $480,000 annually by replacing lighting fixtures.

Last night, the board approved a contract with Excel Energy Group to install LED lighting in all school facilities over 5-years-old for $2.34 million.

The county commission will have to approve the agreement when they meet January 16th.
