It may be December, but two Upper Cumberland cities have already starting making plans for 4th of July.
Both Crossville and Algood have approved contracts to purchase firework shows for 4th of July holiday.
The Algood city council has approved an $8,000 agreement to purchase from Cookeville-based Mark’s Pops. Mayor Kirk Dyer said it’s not the first time the city has purchased from the company.
“He does a good job and they have been outstanding the last few year,” Dyer said.
Crossville has also approved a $30,000, 3-year contract for fireworks with J&M Displays.
Crossville officials said the2018 firework show will be much larger than previous years.
