Putnam County has a new county commissioner.
Danny Morphew will be filling the 10th District commission seat after receiving 13 votes during last night’s county commission meeting.
“I’m a life-long citizen in the county and spent 25 to 30-years in procurement, purchasing for different industries here in town,” Morphew said. “I look forward to the opportunity to serving the county and being a good steward of the citizen’s money.”
Tony Honeycutt resigned from the 10th District seat earlier this year after he moved out of the district.
It’s the 4th time the county commission has been tasked with filling a vacant seat this year.
