Crossville Man Injured After Shotgun Accidentally Discharges

A Crossville man suffered injuries after a shotgun discharged and struck the man in the hand Sunday night.

According to a police report, 30-year-old Daniel Parsons was cleaning the weapon when it accidentally discharged and almost severed his index finger.

Parsons received treatment at U.T. Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition.

Officials said pellets from the shotgun blast nearly struck his girlfriend and traveled through a window.

No charges filed at this time.
