Tennessee Highway Patrol will be out in force this weekend.
Lt. Jimmy Neal said troopers will conduct drivers license and sobriety checkpoints on roads all over the Upper Cumberland.
They’ll also conduct saturations, which includes several troopers spaced at intervals on a particular road to control speeding and other violations.
Commercial vehicles will also be checked at CMV checkpoints, Neal said.
Neal said the THP enforcement is designed to keep drivers and passengers safe on the roads this holiday weekend.
The following four drivers license checkpoints are listed Friday.
Pickett County: Highway 135 at Calvary Church;
Cumberland County: Highway 127 at the 26 mile marker;
DeKalb County: State Route 56 South at Memorial Gardens
Putnam County: State Route 56 at U.S. 70
One sobriety checkpoint is scheduled for Saturday. That’s in Pickett County at Highway 111 at Cove Creek Road.
