I 40 Traffic Backed Up As Crews Remove Tractor Trailer From Ditch

Traffic on Interstate 40 westbound is backed up as crews remove a tractor trailer from a ditch.

At 12:30 p.m.Tennessee Highway Patrol Lieutenant Jimmy Neal said the cleanup process would likely take an hour or more to complete.

The vehicle crashed Tuesday evening near mile marker 281. TDOT stopped clearing operations on the tractor trailer when severe storms moved through the air just after 10 p.m. Tuesday night.

The crash resulted in no injuries.
