For the 25th time souped-up cars will be rolling into Standing Stone State Park Saturday.
The 25th Annual Standing Stone State Park Car Show featured more than 100 cars last year. Park Ranger David Harris said the event gets larger every year.
“There are some beautiful cars that come out, so if you enjoy classic automobiles or street cars or anything like that,” Harris said. “We’d love to have as much of the public out this Saturday as we possibly can.”
The show is free to attend and takes place from 9am to 3pm Saturday. It will be followed by a cruise-in event in Livingston. There is a $10 entry fee to enter the car show. There are 20 different categories you can enter your car in, and there will be a first, second, and third place trophy for each category.
“If you just come on out on Saturday morning, we would love to have you,” Harris said. “You don’t have to preregister or anything. Just show up Saturday Morning.”
Timothy Volunteer Volunteer Fire Department from Allons and East 52 Volunteer Fire Department from Celina will be serving food. Cousin, a local band out of Livingston, will be performing during the car show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“It’s in a beautiful area of the park,” Harris said. “The park’s a wonderful place to host an event like this, the fall colors, the time of year.”
