A portion of Interstate 40 in Putnam County closed down Sunday night after a tractor trailer caught fire.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, The incident happened at the eastbound lanes near miler marker 274 in Silver point.
Authorities have not released any information regarding injuries or the cause of the fire.
Authorities expected the road to be reopened by 9:00 p.m.
