Cookeville Police Looking For Witnesses To Fatal Wreck

Cookeville Police want to talk with anyone who might have witnessed a fatal car accident on South Willow Avenue Friday night.

44-year old Eric Michael Swanson of Cookeville died in the accident that occurred in the 200 block of South Willow Avenue. Swanson, driving a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer, left the roadway while travelling southbound. The vehicle traveled through two parking lots before striking a tree and a bank sign at 237 South Willow Avenue. EMS transported Swanson to Cookeville Regional Medical Center where doctors pronounced him dead.

The accident happened about 9:45pm Friday night. Police do not know if Swanson suffered a medical incident before the accident.
