Woman Charged With Passing Fake Money

Crossville police have arrested a woman who allegedly tried passing counterfeit money at several city restaurants.

36-year-old Michelle Linda Williams is charged with criminal simulation. Authorities said she attempted to pass a fake $100 bill at a Subway last month. She fled the scene, but authorities later identified her after she attempted to pass a fake $100 bill at Hardee’s and left the restaurant.

A store employee at Hardee’s managed to take a picture of a Chevrolet Tahoe that belonged to Williams and she was eventually located and arrested.

She’s under a $2,000 bond .
