White Co. Sheriff Confirms Some Remains Found In Car Pulled From Calfkiller

White County Sheriff Steve Page confirms there were some remains and personal items found in the vehicle pulled from Calfkiller River Wednesday.

Page said that the car is that of Erin Foster, one of two teens who went missing on April 3rd, 2000. He said that the car was found by YouTube diver Jeremy Sides who makes videos on his channel “Exploring With Nug” recovering lost items or aiding in missing person cases.

“He was just exploring to see if he could help out. He has solved 14 other cold cases by doing this so he was just going on looking in the lakes and he has a little boat that he runs sonar and he’s a certified diver and he just went on a hunt. I led him to the part of the county where I felt like the incident occurred from and he took it from there.”

Page said that through his investigations into the case, they know that Foster and her friend Jeremy Bechtel went missing from Foster’s home driving in her 1988 Pontiac Grand Am.

Page said that while there have been other leads in the past, most have simply been rumors. He said that he believes this appears to be an accident where they have simply run off the road into the water.

“The rumors were that they went missing from a friend’s house in the Castle area,” Page said. “But that wasn’t true we know that they went missing from her house that night.”

Page said that they are working to confirm the remains match those two teens with DNA testing. He said that he wants to give glory to God for the findings in the case.
