Obituaries For Tuesday, April 23

Linda Shelby of Cookeville, passed away Sunday morning April 21 at Signature Heath Care of Putnam County. No service are planned.

Larry Joe Bandy, 68 of Cookeville died Sunday, April 21, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family, following a brief illness. He was born June 21, 1950 in the Buffalo Valley Community of Putnam County to the Late Robert and Essie Leftwich Bandy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Henry Bandy. Larry was owner/operator of Bandy Dry Wall for 45 years. Survivors include wife of 47 years (Married December 11, 1971 in Carthage, TN) Brenda Hickey Bandy of Cookeville, son and daughter-in-law Ricky and Wendy Bandy of Baxter, sister Betty Collins of Clawson, MI. Larry had chosen cremation and no services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 753A Humble Drive, Cookeville, TN 38501.

Funeral Services for Mr. Robert P. Cowan, 87 of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, April 24th at 10 a.m. at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Bros. Clarence Deloach and Jeremiah Tatum will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery. Robert died Sunday morning, April 21st at Bethesda Health Care Center. His family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. and again Wednesday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Louise Hammock, age 90, of Cookeville will be held Wednesday, April 24th, 2019 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Pastors Dow Allen and Mike Gillock officiating. Interment will follow in Lynn Cemetery in Jackson County. Louise passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019 at her home in Cookeville surrounded by her loving family. She was born Sunday, April 14, 1929 in Hilham to the late Luke Allen and Lavena Carwile Allen. Louise attended Knight’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. She will long be remembered for being a hard worker, loving mother/grandmother and a great cook. She always wanted to be a good neighbor and helped anyone she could when they were in need. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daltie T. Hammock; son, Billy Hammock; three brothers, Aubrey Allen, Doyle Allen, and Don Allen; two sisters, Norma Dickerson and Pauline Hawkins. She is survived by: two sons, Johnny Hammock (Linda) and Anthony Hammock (Katherine), all of Cookeville; four grandchildren, Leslie Houston (David) of Oxford, Mississippi, Dan Hammock (Kimmy), Leah Milton (Andy), Andy Hammock (Jennifer), all of Cookeville; eight great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Milton, Seth Milton, Danielle Hammock, Maddux Hammock, Walker Houston, Haddie Houston, Marlee Hammock and Mack Hammock. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Wednesday, April 24, 2019, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Presley Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Jerry Mitchell Boyd, age 75, of Cookeville, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday April 24 in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Pastor Scott McKinney will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery. Mr. Boyd passed away Sunday April 21, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 – 8 p.m. and again Wednesday from 1 p.m. until service time.

Funeral services for Jesse Denton Hudelston, Jr., age 63, of Cookeville will be held Thursday, April 25th, 2019 at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Johnny Fox and Seth Presley officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Thursday, April 25, 2019, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Presley Funeral Home. Jesse passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 at his home in Cookeville, Tennessee surrounded by his loving family. He was born Saturday, March 31, 1956 in Crossville, Tennessee to the late Jesse Denton Hudelston Sr. and Reba Frances Sliger Hudelston. Pallbearers will be nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be co-workers from Putnam County EMS.

Celebration of Life for Arlin “Al” J Conradi, 85 of Baxter, will be held Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Multipurpose room of TRINITYalgood, 205 W Wall St, Cookeville, TN 38506. Al passed from this life on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family and friends. Al was born August 9, 1933, in Homestead, Oklahoma to the late Carl and Martha (Winter) Conradi. Al was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved the Lord and you could often find him serving at the Outreach Center of Trinity Assembly of Algood. Al was an avid football fan, especially the the University of Tennessee and the Tennessee Titans. He loved to fish and to camp out. Al is survived by: Wife: Pat Conradi; 2 Children: Sally and Nelson Minton, and Roger and Angela Conradi; 2 Grandsons: Joshua and Steven Minton; 2 Granddaughters: Rachel and Emma Conradi; Sister: Marty Prickett. In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by 2 Sisters, Doris Duncan, and Carol Meyer. Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm in the Multipurpose room of TRINITYalgood, 205 W Wall St, Cookeville, TN 38506.

Funeral Services for Mr. Ray Michael Lawson, age 65, of Livingston will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2019 from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. President David Brandvold will officiate. Burial will follow in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. The family will welcome friends on Friday evening, April 26th from 5 until 7 p.m., then on Saturday from Noon until time of services at the Livingston Funeral Home. Mr. Ray passed from this life on Sunday evening, April 21, 2019 at the Cookeville Regional Hospital. He was born in Akron, Ohio on July 26, 1953 to the late Reed & Millie Crouch Lawson. Ray worked at Tutco for many years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Ray enjoyed playing computer games, reading books, going to church and was a good listener. He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren very much.

Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Thurman M. Edmonds, Jr., age 60, of Overton County will be conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 2019 from the Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Bro. Doug Hawkins will officiate. Junior passed from this life on Thursday morning, April 18, 2019 from the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born in Putnam County Tennessee on March 20, 1959 to the late Thurman Edmonds, Sr. and Olene Breeding Edmonds. Junior was a member of the Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Junior leaves behind his wife, Sherry Flowers Edmonds of Cookeville; daughters, Melinda Zimmerlee of Portland, TN, and Kaci Hall of Nashville; sons, Jamie Edmonds & wife Gladys of Livingston, Robbie Pennington of Chattanooga, T.J. Hall, and Jordan Conatser both of Cookeville; sisters, Gail Young of Monroe, Wanda Rich & husband Jason of Watertown, and Emma Navarro of Livingston; brother, Glen Edmonds & wife Marilyn of Livingston; grandchildren, Lukas and Chelsy Edmonds, and Colin Zimmerlee; special cousin, Fran Riley. In addition to his parents, Junior was preceded in death by his infant brother, Larry Edmonds, and sister, Brenda Sue Porter. The family will welcome friends at the time of services.
